“If serving is below you, then leadership is beyond you.“
In this business, you have to serve others first if you want to be a great leader. Leadership isn’t only about serving your team—it’s about serving your customers, your hostesses, and your Reps.
Serving Your Customers
How are you adding value? People buy products that address needs in their lives. So why would someone want to join your VIP group? They’ll return often if you’re doing something special that enriches their lives. Try creating a personal shopping experience for your customers. Friend request a partygoer and get to know them better during a party. The magic happens in Messenger, and when you make that connection, Facebook will prioritize your posts and videos for them.
Remember, Zyia lays the groundwork for you. Implement the four pillars in your VIP group. Try creating a challenge like a healthy living challenge that encourages people to post photos and comments daily.
And go Live. You don’t have to wait until everything is perfect. People want to see your real life, and you’ll see that those Lives are the ones that get the most views. Be yourself and share your why—tell your story!
Serving Your Hostesses
Keep the focus on your hostesses. Update them and help them because you’re the expert, and bring excitement and enthusiasm whether the party’s at $0 or $1,000. Stick with it til the end and pull out all the stops. Supported hostesses are much more likely to sign up as a Rep.
Go Live during parties so people can get to know you. Continuously build the hype, and share the opportunity with your hostesses to offer the best service. Try to talk about it three times: at the start, when they get the starter kit after a few orders have rolled in, and at the end.
Serving Your Team
You must show up for your team. We all go through different seasons in our lives, and you might need to take a break with your sales, but you cannot take a break from your team. Keep your promise to genuinely help people; they’ll join you because they believe in that commitment.
So how do you show up to your team? Keep track of what’s happening with your team and the significant events in their lives. Check in with them even if they’re multiple levels down. Be with them and cheer for them, loving them through their highs and lows.
“I do, We do, You do.”
Work with new Reps. Some may need more help and some less, but you can’t count them out. When you meet people where they are, you can help them grow so much more. Don’t miss the opportunity to help them build a strong foundation.
“Love your people through it all.”
Think of yourself as the CEO of your own Fortune 500. Offer incentives and build strong teams by tap rooting. Ask your Reps what they need, but don’t assume.
Finally, be positive. Negativity is contagious! Address negativity with positivity. Some people like to complain, but you can refocus.
