With Jill Jensen and Sam Higginson

Jill Jensen initially was reluctant when her friend begged her to try Zyia. When she finally put on her first pair of Zyia leggings, she was hooked.

If you want to lead, you have to lead yourself first. Do this by recognizing your actions first before you’re working with your teams. Both brand-new and experienced Reps know the exciting feeling of getting that first sale, signing up the first Rep, and hitting the first rank. But what happens to Reps who only focus on results? The excitement goes away, and you end up feeling unfulfilled.

On Fire, But Unsustainable

Many people catch fire and are all about results. These Reps rocket upward with outstanding sales like Jill did. But then, Jill described hitting ‘senior director purgatory.’ If you push hard, you could make great sales and make it to senior director in a month, but what happens when you hit a lull and plateau?

Jill was ready to tap out because it just wasn’t fun anymore. Her husband convinced her to sleep on it and talk about it in the morning. They decided to give it another six months but try a completely different business approach.

“It was no longer about what can Zyia do for us, but what can we do for others with Zyia?”

A More Active Community

The VIP group suffered in the short term from the new approach because they decided to stop promos and giveaways and offered the opportunity through hosting instead. This became an excellent opportunity for people to see the benefits of becoming a Rep. Moving to virtual tools during Covid provided a fantastic opportunity to take a step back and look at how to serve the community better.

Service in Action

A mindset shift away from results may require rebranding. Don’t be ruled by your back office! Instead of worrying about a number, use that time to send messages and interact with your network. Shifting the attention to the actions allows the business to take off. Get lost in the service and moving within the community.

“It starts with you and spreads from you to your team and your downline.“

Love in Action

How do you communicate the shift to loving and serving on your team pages? Try team shine spotlights and highlight when someone is doing something actionable. Shoutout their first love, conquering their fears, or finishing a systems guide and making it through their first hosting. Focus on the actions because finding fulfillment in the journey is going to lead to those great results.

Actions Speak Louder

Make incentives all action-based. Reward the actions you know will lead to results. If you take the time to do the actions, the growth will be a by-product you won’t have to worry about. When you stop focusing on yourself and focus on others, you can all lean on each other through the good and the bad.

“Move into that growth and abundance mindset where all you’re trying to do is help. Put that out into the world, and it’ll pay huge dividends back.”
