A Special Training with Meg Severino and Sam Higginson

How Meg Severino Started at Zyia Active

I was inspired to begin my Zyia journey when I watched my sister succeed with Zyia for about two and a half years. At first, I wasn’t sure if it was right for me and I wasn’t confident that I could succeed. On my birthday, I asked my sister what Zyia was and what she was doing with the company. After a three-hour-long conversation, I believed that if my sister could do it, I could do it, too.

Do you have to have talent to succeed?

This business is not about talent—it is about tenacity. It isn’t that my sister is more talented than me. It is that some of us have that drive and tenacity to keep going. Take the time out of your day to educate yourself. I show up every single day and I am highly confident about it because I have educated myself. Knowledge is power. The more knowledge you have about the business and the community you’re working in, then you are going to translate that into confidence. It will come across in your messaging, your follow-up, your posts, etc.

What helped you find your confidence more than anything else?

Showing up, educating myself, and doing the training the company has provided. The company has laid out training for me, why would I do this on my own? The training teaches you about everyone else’s journey and you get to learn along the way. Recognize the community around you and think “I want to be there” or “I want to be like that!” Find your way to meet with those people within the community and ask them questions. We would rather have you ask each other questions so that you can succeed.

Focus on your strengths.

Everyone has different levels of confidence from each other but we also have different levels of confidence in other parts of our life. It is really important to break down what you are confident in, what you aren’t, and what you’d like to work on. The more time you spend honing in on your strengths, the more confident you will be through time.

Find the Vision

You need to know your vision for yourself and that vision is different for everyone else. How can you keep focusing on that? How can you stay confident and wanting more? Lay out your vision, what you want, and remember why you joined. At first, I thought that people were going to judge me because I had judged other people. But until you believe in the vision, you can speak about it to everyone because you believe in it so much.
